It is no shock that fluted designs in homebuilding are back—not that they ever left.
Fluted panels have been around for hundreds of years and are a great way to add intrigue to your home.
There are different types of fluted paneling, such as natural wood or plastic-wood composite paneling, which are eco-friendly and low-maintenance. These types of fluted panels can be great if you plan on putting this detailing into areas with high moisture, such as bathrooms.
Fluted panels can be utilized in many different ways, from sound absorption to changing the tone of a room entirely. Using a small section of paneling behind furniture, for example, can create a focal point in a room. Using sections of paneling going in opposite directions on a ceiling will create a unique and dynamic look.
